Christopher Peter Meloni has been known as a well-known American actor for a number of years. He is most famous for his roles performed in "Law and Order Special Victims Unit". In his first years of college Meloni became interested in acting. Then he studied at his home institution, the University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been in films as well as on TV, it is the characters portrayed on small screens that have given him popularity. It is no surprise that he has been able grab people's attention with his characters on both one side of the law. His first project was a television show, but he later played an officer for the NYPD. Numerous times, he was nominated for both the prestigious Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. His most attractive facial feature is believed to be his distinctive blue eyes. They are believed to be his trademark. They helped in portraying rough characters with charisma. He was featured in 2006 when he appeared in People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
